Hi all,

Could you help me out with this. I have a 300 Sundancer from 2004. This switch is hooked up to the engine room hatch. It has 3 positions, one which allows the EIM buttons to operate the hatch.

Any idea what the other positions are for? As its rusting I need to replace it. Any Basic switch will do, or any special requirements?

Thanks, The Finn

That Looks like something someone has added. How many wires to each switch?

3 wires that have each a blue and Brown. One wire pair goes to one switch. Two swiches. One wires goes to each switch.

So three wires in total and each switch has two wires? Or three wires to each switch?

Thanks for helping out. Attached a New pic. So 3 wire pairs, one pair goes to one switch and another pair goes to the other switch. A third wire pair attaches to both swiches with one wire. Sorry for being a bit unclear!

How many motors power the hatch?
Most use reversing motors for the direction
If you have 1 motor or 2 wired in parallel
you can use a DPDT spring return
A B
C D
E F
A,B to motor, A to F , B to E
12 volts to C, and D
With the problems with the EIM`s ,best option it to hard wire in another power feed to a convenient location above the deck

There is only 1 motor, I think as the actuator is in the middle of the hatch, right? However, why the two swiches..

The 3 switch positions. Could the middle position just be Off, the other side On and the opposite side On for external power source via the 12V "cigaratte lighter" style charger that you can use if your main batteries go dead?
