The hatch lift switch on my panel broke. The switch still operates, but it's now loose. The black thread broke in the middle.

The part from the Parts Manual is:

1757313 SWITCH, TOGGLE CHR W/BLU IND DPDT W/REV CIR

Before I call MM to inquire about a cost, could I simply use an On/Off switch to replace (say from West Marine)? Or does it have to be a true DPDT switch? I'm OK if it's no longer lighted or an exact match if there is a cost savings.

Thanks,

Esteban

Well....if you had an older boat...maybe.
Do you really want to have mismatching stuff on a 2007 boat to save a couple of bucks? Not me.

If I can find original/perfect match, that's my first choice. But I'm open to alternatives if price or availability become an issue. No luck on eBay. Haven't called MM yet.

I would love to replace all of those proprietary switched with generic switches.
