Hey guys, I searched earlier and did not find much info on resealing my hatches on my 95 330 sundancer. My hatch above the galley and above the v berth leak but I've just noticed this two nights ago in a really bad rain storm. It is not the window seal itself it is coming in between the framework and the headliner. I want to fix this problem asap so I dont have to worry about any core rot issues. It's been a while since I've helped friends do this and want to make sure I get the job done correctly. Do I just remove the 6-10 screws from inside the cabin and then lightly pry the frame from up top to remove or are there any other screws I may be missing or is there a better way to do this? Once I get the framework removed what would be the best type of sealant to use, 4200? Any advice would be greatly appreciated so I have a better idea of this before I get to work on it this weekend. Thanks in advance.

It may be the screws themselves leaking. I had mu horn leaking and i sealed the **** out of all my hatches. Now i even put a snap on canvas cover over each hatch so the rain dont even hit them. My one large hatch 18x18 i am replacing totally because the plexiglass keeps popping up and i tried everything. Hard to hunt them leaks down , good luck

I thought I followed tips in a thread by our member "MasterFab", but I can't find it...

I didn't have to remove any interior screws. After removing the screws from the bezel, I lifted the hatches and cleaned all the surfaces. I also taped the perimeter of the deck around hatch to mitigate my sloppy caulking techniques. I was careful to not tighten the screws too much before the caulk dried so it didn't squeeze out. I used Boatlife caulk - it was easy to work with and it's easy to clean, and it hasn't leaked a drop since.
