Added an extra fresh water tank to their boat?

I have an 87' 340EC and am looking to add another tank, I currently have 52gals, but with kids and using it in salt I wanted to use the freshwater washdown as a shower at times.

any thoughts on this is appreciated.

Thanks,
Gary

Can you add a larger tank instead? Factors to consider are added weight (overall), its impact on the balancing/level of the boat, and the physical space to install it.

Another option that comes to mind is to get 1-2 portable 6 gallon water tanks (the light blue ones I have seen at Walmart), store them in the bilge (if space allows) and refill the main tank. Not pretty, but maybe cheaper and more practical for those ocassions you need the additional water.

That is a thought Esteban, but I don't really want the burden of refilling.
I haven't really looked at the original tanks space yet to see if I can go larger.
But, I am sure I could find space somewhere to add one... The thing I need is to hear and see how it might be hooked up to draw from the same pump and whatnot.

Nauti-Tanks

I put a Nauti-tank in my last boat. They are essentially fluid bladders with threaded inlets for your plumbing. You can put them under the soles, etc. Put it in a spot, fill it, and see how it affects your trim. If it is good, connect it into your existing systems with "t"s and/or "y" valves (maybe a small transfer pump to your main tank if gravity is against you).
