How difficult was it to disassemble and reassemble? I know everything from the windshield up has to come off. Thanks, Tommy

Lookup John Hampton posts. He shipped his 44DB.

I shipped my 550 across the country and one of the smartest thing I did was find the guy from the boatyard that was going to put it back together and fly him to Michigan to supervise the teardown. The schlock brokerage in MI would have just cut all the wires leading to/from the flybridge electronics without marking wires because they knew they wouldn't have to put it back together.

The technician who was going to reconnect everything spent 5 days in MI working on the boat. He marked every wire on both sides of the place he was going to cut it. That made it much easier when it came time for him to reassemble it.

He also supervised the removal of the flybridge from the main body of the boat. The selling brokerage was going to use prybars to separate the flybridge from the boat. He made sure it was done slowly and correctly so there was no damage during the removal.

I just PM'ed you on my experience. We moved ours from Florida last October. Had the best summer of my 28 years of boating with mine.
