I saw him on the History channel, it was a 2yr old show.

Thanks Mike, I didn't see that site when I was looking for him. :smt017

He's probably on his Sea Ray with a bunch of hot babes enjoying his retirement.

Knowing Steve, he's probably on his Sea Ray with is wife, enjoying some quiet boating time and an ice tea!

Hi guys, Thanks for wondering if I was dead:))))Sabrina and I are thoroughly enjoying our retirement from racing, dividing our time between our homes in Ocean Reef in the Florida Keys and Lighthouse Point. We kept the 60 Sea Ray and added a 30' Concept CC to the family. It's not 200 mph, but it's a fun, and utilitarian 65 mph. And yep still drinking ice tea and believing I'm one of the luckiest guys in the universe. It was sure a heck of a run in racing, met some truly great people! And I'm alive to treasure those moments and what's to come. If you guys ever find yourself in the Florida Keys, please contact me. We'd love to share this paradise with you. Steve and Sabrina David, M/V Grateful

Steve,

I'm glad to year you and Sabrina are enjoying your retirement. That's what retirement is all about! Your comment about a heck of a run in racing was a gross understatement, my friend. I moved to the Tri Cities in 1977 and haven't missed a race day since then. I'm sure you are missed on the circuit, but now maybe some of the new young guns of the sport will be able to win some races.

Enjoy the quite time and have fun. :smt001

Hey Steve, Does this mean that personally signed pic that you sent me is gonna be worth $20k someday.

Steven, did you know Art Asbury? good friend of my sister, met him a few times at his house in Dorset, and Miss Supertest II

Congrats on the retirement!

Ocean Reef and Lighthouse Point are both great places. I was just in Lighthouse Point a couple weeks ago, a good friend of ours has a place there and a few nice water toys (a Viking is just not a Sea Ray, you know). There's some great water to play in around there - Enjoy!

Hi Skylark. I never met Art, but have read quite a few stories about him. He's a respected part of our sports legacy. I see you're from Barrie, we had a race there in the late 90's. Beautiful area, very kind people as well. Take care.

Not this year, we leave in mid July for the Bahamas, down thru Staniel and parts south and return late August. Been wanting to make this trip for a long time :) Enjoy the summer, and remember the sun block:) Hugs to your daughter, umm, I mean your wife ya old stud you:)))
Steve, are you two going to be coming to any of the races this year? Specifically the Tri Cites?

Thanks a lot!!! I'll tell her you said that and she'll get a kick out of your comment.

Have fun in the Bahamas.

If, at some point you find yourselves headed this direction and would like to cruise on a slow boat, give me a shout.
