Just curious if anyone is planning on going to the Hartford Boat show this weekend?

I'm definitely going, just not sure if I'm going to make it on Friday or Saturday..

Yup were headed up Friday around noon. Then across the street for some cocktails and dinner. Its actually a cool show, we have bailed out on the NYC Jacob Javits show.

Oh and Caswell has a booth ;)

I'm going to see Dave Phillips to try to get the slip i want.

Nice! Maybe hit him up via email before the show, then cement it at the show. If you want his email address just let me know.

I'm thinking about going up on Saturday. Sorry to be nosey but is there a vendor a the show with good deals on slips? I've been shopping around since last season for a new Marina.

Hi Dean,

at Caswell for your craft would be $2800-$3400 a year rental. I have seen them go $10-15 k purchase but then you have to add taxes and monthly marina fees to it.

I'm friends with him on FB.. he knows I'm coming up.. whether or not he remembers talking to me on the phone about what slip i want...
well that's another story..
hopefully meeting my Friend Mike up there.. he has the 320 that is directly in front of you on your starboard side (c dock)(look at your vids/photos)..
hopefully ill be next to him, it was vacant last year, and the year before he was renting it, he took over Dave Crowell's slip last year..
cant afford to buy it this year

Thanks John, does that include power?

includes everything.. water, power.. cable tv hook up extra, there is Wi-Fi in the Marina, if you cell service isnt so great, so you can stream to a TV if you know how to get it from your device

also includes use of the club house and facilities there.. including out door grills, common room for parties, etc..

Yeah and I gotta tell ya Dean, the docks and fingers are all floating concrete and really nice. It is brackish water, and more fresh than salt so less corrosion. Being in a cove its so much easier to dock no running currents to worry about. I've been there for 8 years now and wouldnt go any place else on the river.

That's great i'll give them a look. Can you pm me their contact info?
