Daughter, son-in-law and grandson are with us until Friday. Will be joined by our son and sister-in-law for the feast later. Going to be turkey with a side of REALLY fresh venison on the table this year! My daughter wants me to do a quick plaque mount for little Cameron’s room back in NJ so I’m using the stove quick before we have to start cooking the good stuff!

I have a sister in law coming over today. Thanksgivings were a huge deal, before I moved south, with my wife's family. It was a big deal and great because everyone was there to just enjoy being together. The Christmas gatherings weren't nearly as fun. Moving south my wife and I spent our Thanksgiving weekend at the Daytona Turkey Run (huge car show at the Speedway and surrounding area). Brother in law and his family stopping by tomorrow. Y'all have a good one.

Flew down to Naples Fla to visit the in-laws. Rented a boat yesterday, was thankful to be back on the water. Otherwise I see a beer and the Lions game in my immediate future.

Same for us, Holidays use to be at our house. 12-15 people on holidays. The wife and I cooking together and other family members helping out, hanging out. When we moved that all changed and now it's with some new friends, fire pits and drinks.

Just the 2 of us here with closest family being 1200 miles away. We took a spin on the boat a little earlier and now waiting for dinner to be ready. Doing a downsized version of the traditional spread.
