I suppose some would think this is a strange new years statement, but I have finally sold my boat and all is finalized. I used a broker here in Jacksonville, Florida, Hansen Yacht Sales located on Lakeshore boulevard. It was worth the expense/10 percent brokerage fee to me. Took nine months.
If others are interested let me tell you boat prices are down, mine went for $77,500 minus the 10 percent and a $600.00 allowance for new batteries. Early model 2000-2003's just are not going for thee over 100k prices, lucky to get in the much over 90 range.
Boat survey and engine survey came out good, there were a couple of items on the boat survey, rudder packing nuts needed tightened, hot water flowed with a few spurts. but owner accepted this. everything else was great.
Took 5.5 hours for engine and generator surveys and they to passed. all compressions tests were in the 180-190 range. I had just under 700 hours on the engines and 686 for the generator.
Both surveyors commented on tis being one of the nicest and cleanest used 380's they had come across, to include the bilge.
It is a boat I enjoyed it while I had it and I did the "BOAT" dollar things, so time for me to move on.
