Gunwhale 1999 profile replacement

Hi everyone

My 1999 Sundancer 540DA sustained extensive damage in an incident in December. The repairer can not find the replacement Gunwhale sections that we need as they no longer manufacture it in the 1999 profile.
we have talked to Sea Ray directly and to the people that manufactured the part for Sea Ray with no luck.

The boat is fully insured but as per norm with insurance companies, they are telling me they are not responsible for matching the port side new Gunwhale section with the starboard and if I want the sections to match I need to pay 6 k for the other side. So I really need to find a place to buy this older profile so I do not have to pay thousands of dollars to get my fully insured boat back into the condition it was in before this incident which occured through zero fault of my own! Pretty frustrating to be hit with giant bills when you are fully insured' not how it is supposed to work!

anyone have any ideas where we may be able to purchase the older 1999 Gunwhale profile? I figured if anyone would know it would be the people here on Club Sea Ray

I'm not sure what you're looking for when you say 'gunwhale'. When I google that part number I get lots of hits and it's rub rail. Is this what your looking for http://tacomarine.com/ccp51/media/images/product_xlarge/V21-9526.pdf

thanks for your input yes it is a rubrail but not like the one in Tacomarine you posted a link to , but the original 1999 profile. We have actually talked to Tacomarine as they were the original manufacturers. I am speaking with FP Marine now, they may have what I need, they have asked me for a picture so I am going to the boat this afternoon and will post the pic here aswell once I have it.

Maybe calling a bunch of these places that sell the new profile under that number might be worth it. They might have some old stock hanging around.
