This weekend we were out enjoying the gulf. Water has hit 80 degrees on the gulf side and warmer on the back. Late spring is a great time to be in the gulf. The porpoises are mating and fishing in groups. We had 15 of them in a shallow area playing and showing off for us. I attached a picture of two loggerhead turtles mating. You don't see this very often.
It is sad to think that this could all be compromised or destroyed in the coming weeks. We are hoping for favorable winds and a solution to the spill.
It was a tough winter with large fish kills because of the extended cold weather we experienced. Another event would be hard on the fish and sea animals.
Attached are a few pictures. A little boat spray for those who haven't launched their boats yet, some turtles, the dogs getting ready to go swimming and something I saw on the way to work this morning riding a motorcycle.
