thinking about replacing my 2 wet cell series 27 batteries on my 260 with two Northstar 31 series AGM’s. Does anyone know if the Guest will charge the AGM’s without problems?

Most AGM are fine with wet cell profile. Check Northstar to see if they state it is ok.

I don’t think the OEM 20amp Guest has switches to change settings to the various types of batteries. If the profiles for the wet cell and AGM are same, you will be fine.

When you get ready for a new charger, I installed a ProMariner 40amp in my 06 260DA. Wire sizes were good and only the 2-breakers under the cockpit sink had to be changed. It has settings for all types of batteries.

I checked the boat today; the battery charger model is 26222A-OEM. It has a date code of 3/9/2007. I found the original manual, and it says "THIS CHARGER SHOULD BE USED TO CHARGE ONLY LEAD ACID, AGM, OR GEL CELL TYPE BATTERIES. USE ON OTHER BATTERY TYPES MAY CAUSE AN EXPLOSION OR PERSONAL INJURY." So I think the AGMs will be fine. Thanks all!
