Hi all, I stumbled across this forum and thought I would join and say hello.
I currently have a 2002 SUNDANCER 240, but I am in the process of upgrading to a 2004 Sundaancer 355 (I believe that is a 320 in the States). It has Volvo Penta Deisels with outdrives. Quite a step up from the 240, but looking forward to learning to drive the twins.

Where in England are you located?

I am on the South Coast in Cornwall, just outside of Plymouth. Hoping to get out for a sea trial sometime over the next couple of weeks - weather depending

Welcome to CSR!

Welcome and please post some pics when you pic up your new yacht! Would love to see what the engine room setup and how she performs.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I’m sure I will have a list of questions at some point.
I will post some pics when I have her.

We were in New Quay last May visiting my daughter and her family. They live in Amesbury.

Newquay is just 40 mins drive from here. I have now read the whole of the 320 threads, and there is not one mention of a member with Volvo Diesel & O/D configuration. Are they that unpopular in the U.S?

Welcome to CSR and congrats on your new to you boat. Don’t see any diesel powered 320’s around here, would love to see a picture of the engine room when you get a chance.

We are just waiting to complete the deal and I shall take pics and get them uploaded

Welcome. We are happy here to help you spend your money, and to live vicariously through your efforts. Pictures will be required for that to happen. ;)

I noticed my manual mentions 355, (I keep trying to use 320 since they charge by the foot over here for storage and transient slips) the manual also mentions diesel, maybe just a UK option? For 2007, my manual lists Volvo Diesel Stern drives at 250hp or 298hp. Do you have one of those, or maybe the options were different in 04? And welcome to CSR!

I believe these are Volvo Penta kad 44 (260hp), I will check.

Well, due to a combination of bad weather and awaiting for parts from the U.S for the hatch lift, we have finally conducted sea trials and the deal agreed. She is an absolute beaut. I was really surprised at the performance compared to my 240 SUNDANCER.
