Calling for gusts to 70 here at the eastern end of the lake. Glad the boat’s still in the building.

The only thing that could make "stay at home" better - power outage :)

I suppose I should go top off the gas can today. Looks like fun...

I wish I just had a power outage to deal with. Last night I got a call from both kids at the same time, job and money troubles....call 1-800-Dad.:( This has potential to F up my boating, maybe permanently.

Thankfully my kids are all still working but my daughter is on commission as a financial advisor and that isn't exactly a booming business right now. She owns 3 houses (rents 2 of them) and bought a 4-plex about a month ago. She looked at a 6 plex last week but not sure what the status of that is. She has mortgages on all these properties but has some left over for her pocket.

Man has to watch what he wishes for I recon.

Not good with lake levels so high. The eastern shores will be battered -- again.

Think of the money your saving on electricity ...to give to the kids... your saving the boat :)
I have a generator but the electricity is 3.5-4 bucks an hour, about 2gal LP/hr. Ya the kids, I talked to one some more today. It'll be tight for them, with a little help here and there should be no problem. I hope it's the same with the other one. I didn't want to scare them, assured them we'll all survive, but I told them I'm not steppin' in until I know they're giving it their best shot....when I see them outside gnawing the bark off trees I'll know they need me. My comment got no laughs but they got the point.

Another good reason to join the power squadron or coast guard auxilliary. They must be essential right? And if there bot is at a marina it should be open for those essential services correct? Just sayin.....
