Great Dock Canoe Race

This was my first year at the event and it was awesome. I would highly reccomend this to everyone. We dropped in at one of the naples ramps at 10am which was already lined with trailers, I would advise everyone getting there earlier. We never went to the canoe races directly but we did go strait to Key Waden for the after partying, we got there after a short 15-20 minute ride from the ramp. There were a few hundred boats there. If you go i would make sure you bring plenty of water baloon's as you are very liable to come under attack and you do want to make sure you can return fire ;) we brought a few hundred baloon's and had a blast. We also seem to have had jello shots thrown to us randomly as well. They do have food stands there, burgers are around $5 each, theres no bathrooms on the island so make sure you take care of that before you go. There was a very large police/sherrif/coast guard/fire rescue and presence of several other departments but they did not really bother anyone unless you were doing something you shouldnt be doing. All in all, I would make sure you do not miss this event next year.
