I'm about to take possession of my 2003 280da and it is really really white! Well, ok, the canvas is black, but all the upholstery is white (no two-tones) and of course all of the boat.
I'd like to have a sign/graphics company add some cool looking designs on the sides when they re-letter it.
Has anyone done this and of course, could you post any pictures?
Or, is there a site I could visit that might show some work like this?
Thanks!

You mean like this ?

If you are really bent on screwing up a beautiful boat, get a can or two of spray paint and find a local gang-banger, I'm sure he'd love to tag it up for you....

I don't see it in your signature line so this is just a guess, was you previous boat/boats a wake-board boat? Just curious..

Hey Lt. Dan, I think a big 'ole maltese cross would look good centered on your hull sides....maybe throw in some crossed axes...LOL.

I am not sure how far you want to go with graphics but I watched a complete vinyl wrap applied to a ~20ft bow rider last month. Very straight forward application. The installers told me they can pretty much do any type of graphic. This is what is applied to all the fishing boats that have sponsers. I have even seen the vinyl wraps applied in solid color to boats instead of painting (I believe I saw that application on this forum).

My boat only has the factory striping and name and location lettered on the stern. Somewhere on here I posted pictures of my stern letters if you care to look at them.

OK, wrong choice of words. I guess I didn't mean "graphics", I meant more like a paint stripe along the side. Like the boat in quint4's photo. Is that paint or vinyl?
(And, no I have no intention of screwing up my new boat! That's why I'm asking for your opinions)

We are just giving you some crap.....that is original gelcoat from sea ray.

You can order the "waterline" accents from sea-ray like the ones on my 280... In fact, there is an '03 at my boat club without the accent and you are correct, I think they look much better with them... and sorry for busting your balls... good news is it's only 51 days until the beginning of our season so most of us will have better things to do than be smart asses here at CSR...

Check with Mike Hood, somesailor AT gmail.com he has done hundreds of graphics and not a complaint yet. Does lots and lots of custom work (Todd, Nehalennia II) can attest to the quality. There are major differences in quality of the vinyl too. Extremely reasonable and will forward lots of work he has done...

I really hope that's photoshop !

Thanks, dp. That's exactly what I was looking for. I've just emailed my SeaRay sales person along with your photo, so I'll see if he can help me get'er done.
The Mike Hood referral is appreciated but I'd prefer to get a local guy (Rhode Island) as I doubt I would want to apply the vinyl accents myself.
The black accent stripe would match my black canvas nicely.
Next, I need an ipod dock connected....probably not too hard to find someone local for that.
Counting the days.......

if there is absolutley no stipes on it now. i would just put a couple black ones by the waterline to accent the canvas. one thick and maybe one thin
