I have a 1985 260 DA that I am reupholstering. I can't figure out how to remove the grab handles on the back of the helm seat. There are two of them just above the rear fold down seats. They do have 1 bolt at each end of each handle that I have removed, but it looks like a wood screw through the top of the grab handle is still holding it on. Thinking about just ripping it off and replacing them with a stainless grab handles. Any help would be appreciated.

The trim piece should come off with a little careful pressure. If you are replacing it, don't be shy, just don't damage the vinyl.

I think the small rectangles at each end pop out, pry out with a utility knife blade just outside the inner rectangles edge and the larger chrome bezel.(if that makes sense.) These were the same as old GM style door pulls.

Thanks, that is exactly how they came off!
