I am having a strange electrical problem (again).
When underway, I sometimes loose my GPS fix which makes my chartplotter go nuts and my GPS display goes nuts too (they are seperate in the 2001). At the same time my ST-60 just shuts down (this is the depth finder, speed, and temp thing).
I have not been able to duplicate exactly how it turns off and back on. I thought it was due to high or low voltage coming from my starboard alternator, but like I said, I can't get it to consistantly reproduce. It happens every time and I don't want to leave sight of land until I get this fixed.
I hope this is not a "replace your electronics" thing.
Any suggestions?
