We just ordered an EZYDOG vest for Durango and will see how well it lasts this summer. The vest we bought at PetSmart didn't even last one season before the grab handle ripped the vest open. I sincerely hope this one lives up to the quality of its reputation.

You won't be disappointed the outward hound handle broke on the last vest, and the EZ dog has held up great. The handle is a very important part of the vest as far as we're concerned.

I have 2 Lab's and I use the ruffwear vests. They look brand new after 2 fill seasons and the handle is very strong. I've got an older version, but the current one looks even more user friendly with the buckled strap under the neck (mine is just velcro) and more padding on the belly.

I've learned the trick is to get a ladder so that you dont have to lift them out of the water! Seriously its so much nicer when they can get back on the boat by themselves.

Joe, that ladder is really cool. Do you know the brand and model?

Slm-12 is what I have. I'm going to get a 4 step swim platform ladder because the angle is a little off with my 3 step, but it's well worth the $$ IMO
