I've never lost a job before, it's very unsettling. Came completely out of the blue.:smt021 Anybody looking for a CFO/Controller type?

Tim, sorry to hear, good luck.

I've been there, its not easy but stay positive and IT will work out.

Forgive me...what is a CFO?

Oh gotcha thanks. I don't as of now. But I will put the word out. Any special areas private, public, government, banks, investment/ mpneymang?

Hopefully they gave you 60 days plus some type of severance package? It's tough out there for sure.

Nope, just 60 days, unfortunately. Fortunately, we've been saving quite a lot ove the past couple years and have a pretty good war chest. But I will go be a greeter at Walmart or flip burgers at McD's before I will blow through that!

PM me with your current resume; need to understand your willingess/ability to relocate, etc.
Thks

It could be worse, you could be a loan officer in the mortgage industry here in Florida :smt089

Or worse yet, be a commercial contractor here in FL...

Worked my a** off like many others, to build a seven-figure business only to be watching all my efforts (and savings) going down the tubes for the past two years.

NOTHING is going to improve until the banks release their stranglehold on credit- both personal and business. Unfortunately, you and I (through our generous government) gave them so much damn cash they don't need to lend money anymore to stay in business...

Best of luck to you. Didn't you read today that Obama says he created 3 million jobs? I'm sure because he sez so- happy days are just around the corner.

Sorry to hear - best of luck to you. That's a crazy pretty area you live in and a wonderful lake (my parents retired just outside Kimberling City). But I have to imagine CFO type jobs are hard to find around there... Fortunately, these things often turn out for the best.

Sorry to hear that I hope it works out for you.

You might want to check with Honeywell and Stanleyworks two companies I know of that have openings and have locations in Florida.

He says he created 3 million jobs but gave away $3 trillion to companies like BOA and AIG. Then these companies turned around and gave the top dogs millions in bonuses. Even better, they had suites for the Super Bowl in Tampa right after tehy got their bail out money. (sorry I get worked up just thinking about our so called government).

I heard a good quote today that pertains to this.

"If you didn't vote for a black president your a racist but if you voted for him because he was black, doesn't that make you a racist?"
