My friend and companion for the last 8 years ,she has crossed great lakes and adventured up rivers and streams, pathways and walkways. She will be fondly remembered by all of my friends, landlovers and boaters alike. She became ill two weeks ago and started having siezures saturday at midnight. She could no longer snap ot of them and was locked in a continuous siezure since sometime last night.I ha d to let her rest at 11am today the dr said she probably had a brain tumor. She was the most gracious dog i have ever known.

Passing of an old friend is always hard to take no matter if they are of the two or four legged type. Sounds like Lady had a good friend in you too. Blessings.

Sorry about your loss. Pets do become members of the family. She's forever sailing the lakes watching over you now!

Sorry to hear about your loss. It took my wife and I to get another one. Now our lab--Cash has a good home with us.

Sorry for your lost, I have a Westie (West Highland White Terrier) she is going on 14 years old, and is now becoming deaf and eyesight is failing her. I have been giving her twice daily insulin shots for about two years...but she is my buddy, she still gets around okay and until she doesn't I will take care of her.

Again I feel for your lost.

That's a tough one. It sounds like it wasn't as long a drawn out suffering as I've heard many's pets fading out can be, like weeks or months. I suppose be thankful for that.
Sorry to hear of your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. Take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering.

Sorry to hear about your loss--it is always rough. We had a 3-year old that past away 2 years ago from "addison's disease." the kids think and talk about her on a daily basis. The memories last a life time.

Sorry for your loss. At least now she is at peace.

They truly are mans best friend. I'm sorry for your loss.

Boy, it's tough to give them back. All we can do is give them the best we have while they're with us, and look forward to the someday reunion. I hope you remember to smile through the tears now and then. My thoughts are with you and the family.

I swore "no more dogs" after our huskies died... my wife didn't agree though... now we have two Goldens.

My next pet is going to be a turtle... or a parrot... live 80 years and you can poke a stick at it and not feel bad because you don't get attached to it.

Thank you all for the condolances and respect for Lady.I hope i can get out of my old routines soon, getting up and automatically going to the sliding door to let her out ,grabbing a treat when i walk into the house.I am going to work today ,i hope they have a bucket full to do.

I know what you mean. Missy was almost 16 when we had to let her "rest." One of the saddest days of my life. You always know the day is coming but it isn't any easier.
