Reminded me I hadn't posted my picture yet... another Boxer who loves the boat. Here's Tigger in all of his 'snaggletooth' glory! He stands guard next to the helm and watches the wake and barks at the birds. Amazing how much room an 80lb dog takes up on the boat!

First Boxer hated the boat. Tollerated it at the dock but just sat between my legs and shook while we were moving. This little girl LOVES it. She finally figured out that if she stands on the portside lounger and gets her head above the windshield....voila just like having her head out the window of the truck.

It's not the dog... it's the *name*. I just can't imagine going to the office and talking about my doodle.... Should have called it a "Poolden" or something...
LOL... I get a kick out of all these made-up names for mixed breed dogs... we used to call them mutts if they weren't purebreds.

Ryder is his name and riding is his game...he is a 8 month old lab poodle mix...and a great dog...almost too smart!

here he is after a good swim...and no shedding!

Our lab loves the boat. She climbs the swim ladder too. If we are too busy to throw the ball for her she will drop it in the water, wait for it to drift away, then jump in and get it and bring it back! Better than a dog on a treadmill!

Ditto on rescue dogs. Durango is the best... we saved him from the pound, he knows it, and shows his appreciation. We couldn't ask for a better companion.

I got a dog you can come rescue... I'll even ship it to you UPS... and throw a cat in also...

A stuffed one. Any size, breed or color. You never have to find a place for them to go doodoo.

Our best friend Kelsey loves the boat!

That's a cutie, what kind/breed?
He's a German Shepherd. Got him from a breeder in Maryland.
All her breeding stock were imported from Europe. She's been in business for 30 years or more.
This guys parents are extremely friendly and well trained.
Father is from Belgium and mother from Germany.

Our past dog was a Golden Retriever who died on 9/11 two years ago. 9/11 sucks for many reasons now. I've been really hesitant to get another dog as the Golden was a wonderful dog and it's been hard to think of replacing him:smt089.
My wife has been "hounding" me for at least a year to get another dog. I've always loved shepherds, as a child and as a former cop. On vacation last week I spoke for some length of time with the guy next door who has a German shepherd who I've watched grow up over the past 3-4 years.

I found myself weakening and began looking at breeders. This pup just happened to be ready for adoption so I bit the bullet.

I am partial to cocker-spaniels

When I am traveling they normally sleep, will provide great security at night, easy to clean up, great swimmers, small enough that you don't have to leave adults home because they take too much space, o and did I mention that they will play at any time you want to.

I have to vote for the Lab. Mine loves to go out on the lake. I just have to watch him when the boat stops, because to him that means time to go swimming. And as was mentioned before, invest in a good vacuum... he is a shedder!
