Going to drill holes in my boat.....

Yes its an extended platform wanted the extra space. I do plan to take photos to contribute to the web site. I appreciate all the feedback from everyone comedians and all. Plan to start as soon as Searay gets my gelcoat issue resolved. Wish me luck......

That looks like a million bucks!!! How difficult is it to get inside the integrated platform to get the extension through-bolted? That's what seems like the most difficult aspect (?)

I installed mine with the help of a friend. Took about 3-4 hours for the 2 of us, IIRC. I used a combination of saw horses, lumber and screw jacks to hold it in place.

The only tough part about the whole project was getting a wrench on the nuts inside the existing platform. I ended up taping a wrench to a yardstick. Can't really tell from the picture, but some of the nuts are about 12-14" deep in that cavity.

I had a similar set-up when I installed a class III trailer hitch on my truck. Supporting it with boxes was actually in the instructions that came with the hitch and really made the install much simpler.
