My wife and I have decided for now that our boating needs are more in line with a bowrider. Taking delivery tomorrow morning. Buying a 2008 270 SLX w/ 496 Bravo III. Solid Black. she looks good. Post some pics when I get her. Getting her cleaned up and ready for captains delivery in morning.

Great boat, you will love it. We were debating between the 270 SLX or going with the 280 DA. We've decided to do the 280 DA at this point, but could be very happy with the 270. Great ride, and lots of room.

Congrats! We've been in a 270 SLX since August 2005. Love it.

Great choice, can't wait to see her. The admiral says the best thing about our bowrider is she can sit up front and sun with her friends.

Enjoy!

Great purchase! The SLX series, 250, 270, and 290 are *beautiful* boats and also offer the big block power plants. Luuucky! :)

Congrats!

Great boat, we love ours (most of the time). Good decision to go with the tower. Those SS grab handles on the end of the swim platform look great until the ski rope gets hung up on them for the 300th time that day:smt013. Need to add a tower now!

Good luck with your beautiful new boat.

Have the same problem with those SS grab bars on my 250. Here is what I used to fix the problem. Complained about it to Sea Ray. They fixed the problem on the 2007 250. Don't know why they didn't do the same on the 2007. http://www.overtons.com/modperl/pro...name=Ropes-Handles&aID=1G&merchID=1009&r=view

Thanks.
That's what I've decided to use, doesn't help with tubes though.

Sea Ray changed their molds for the 250 in 2007, and as part of that fixed the handle issue. They aren't due to change the 270 molds for a few years.

MarineMax offered a fix to the tune of about $550. They could replace the exisitng grab bar with a bar with ends that "curved in" to the fiberglass. In that way, the rope wouldn't get caught. I suppose the same thing could be done on the 270.

I guess this means no more late night table diving or .45's for y'all.:smt043

Yeah, maybe daylight table diving though. Don't make the mistake of thinking there won't be a .45 on board though!!!!!!:lol:
