Glue for ER Hatch rubber seal

Anyone know a good adhesive for holding the ER hatch rubber seal in place. One piece of the rubber seal has come unglued and I can't seem to find anything to hold it in place.

any good quality heavy duty contact cement. prep. surface (old adhesive must be removed) and follow instructions on the can. don't rush or skip any steps.

3M Weatherstrip adhesive in the red tube. I used it on my the gasket on my hatch. Couldn't easily remove the old double sided tape that Sea Ray used to hold the rubber seal in place, so just glued over it and taped the gasket in place every 2' with masking tape until the 3M stuff cured. Did that two or three years ago and it's holding fine.

I've been goof-off 'ing the heck out of that old double-sided tape with no luck so I'm glad to hear there is another option. Thanks for the info.

Ours fell off too. That old glue is the gooey-est damn stuff!!! I always manage to brush up against the old seal laying in the bilge getting it on me or clothes. Seems like cleaning all the old glue would be a PAIN!

:thumbsup: - If the 3M WSA won't hold it, it can't be held. This stuff works great. Just clean it up right away if you get it where you don't want it. You can remove it after it cures, but you will be scraping and cussing at yourself for not cleaning it up right away.
