The guy who made this documentary was on Glenn Beck last night. He said his life has been hell since he made this thing. Apparently if you have a counter argument about global warming, you are crucified.

Haven't had a chance to watch the video, but I do believe that things are getting warmer, at least in the winter. Winters are very mild now compared to when I was a kid.

Interestingly enough, most summers are a bit cooler, too.

they don't deny that it's getting warmer. Looking at the evidence, the Sun is the cause and not greenhouse gases. The rise in CO2 is a result of it getting warmer, not the cause as it lags behind by hundreds of years and the main source is the Ocean. It's also a natural earth occurance that's happened before several times and will continue to happen as long as we have a sun. The magnet radiation caused by sunspots have increased significantly in the last 20 years. anyway, you should watch the movie, it's pretty interesting.

I also find it pretty interesting that Gore's solution is carbon emission trading (or whatever he calls it) is his "fix". A fix for something that isn't a cause. Guess who owns the company that brokers the trading? Basically a heavy private tax on people like us to use "energy" because we are the ones causing "global warming".

So everyone should watch this film and spread the word to others to watch it before the US gets nuts and starts to put CO2 taxes on us.

I wouldn't mind if it was in fact the cause. But it's not.
 
I want someone to tell me how in the world carbon credits are going to reduce emissions? I can already see it now, phony companies starting up that get alloted a certain amount of carbon credits. But they don't produce anything, they just sell their credits on the market. Con Ed has no choice but to buy them and pass along the cost to us. What changes other than less money in my pocket?

Once someone tells me how ice ages occur - and end - then I might start listening closer.

And when environmentalists start talking about nuclear energy for electricity . . .then I might believe their sincerity.

Today, you get bulk H2 from burning Natural Gas, or some other carbon burning compound. There is not enough room in this country for enough windmills to replace a *significant* percentage of the US power grid. Solar power will remain impractical until it becomes cheap enough to become standard roofing material.

Remember, 50% of electric power in the US comes from *coal*. Coal is (more or less) pure carbon. You burn coal to produce pure (more or less) CO2 and heat (which is converted to electric power)
