After removing the Arch, I'm left with five holes on either side on the boat that needs to be patched. Any suggestions? I will need to match the color and make them water tight. Thanks!

Is that the interior of the boat or the exterior? If the interior - I would lean to putting a vinyl cover like they do in the new boats.

My question is,why did you take of a nice and rare to find arch, and now have to patch up a bunch of holes that will be hard to cover

I boat in an area with a lot of low bridges. The stock arch made it impossible to navigate the "chain of lakes" without having to go all the way around through several lakes to avoid a specific bridge that is near my slip. Also, the arch was pointing forward and I didn't like the look all that much.

Did you try turning it around ? Just wanted to know if it would work. and no i don't want to turn mine around, i like it just fine

Didn't mean to offend... I would still have the height issue for the kind of boating we are doing.

I don't think it was taken that way, Some people would just kill for your arch. LOL Mine is 11' 9" on the trailer.... I had to remove it to get it home on a flat bed It was over 14' Tall...... Just fill bevel the holes and fill them with bondo Glass whit kitty hair and match with paint or gel coat. If you buy factory gel, you will need to wet-sand and buff the area to get a match. these old boat's have deep set oxidation it still may come out to dark. If you can send a sample out and they can specto it and give you spot on match just make sure it's a cleaned and buffed sample or you will get a faded match.

Have you thought about seeing if there is a way to re-engineer the mounting base and make it into a folding arch? If you only need a little bit of clearance that might be relatively $imple?
