Out twice so far this year & thoroughly enjoyed the larger size of hull.
Each time I pull the garboard drain once back on the trailer I'm seeing about a gallon of clean water draining out.
Loaded it a little crooked last time so I put the drain plug back in & refloated it without restarting the engine.
Once hauled out removed the drain plug & saw another gallon of clean water coming out.

Found 4 blue drain plugs on the engine......are there more than 4 ?
Bellows look good looking only from below with the drive up.
I see a +/- 3" short hose from the transom that mates to another on the drive. Exhaust perhaps ?
Can't figure how the water is getting into the bilge.

Dealer has a mechanic coming Friday to have a look.
I'm thinking it's a very simple $2 fix if I can only find it.

Thanks,
Steve C.

How about pulling the engine hatch and just look for the leak. a missing blue drain plug would leave more that that amount.

Are there scupper drains on that boat? I noticed water I my boat as well. Found my scupper were not closing when I was launching or when it would get over loaded on one side and would allow water in.

Dry everything out and then with the boat on the trailer back it in so only the transom drain plug is in the water. Get in the bilge with a flashlight and mirror and check for water entering. back in a little more each time until you find the point where the water is coming from.

I had a leak a few years back and this is how I found out it was coming from the transom drain plug. On Mine Searay did a really crappy ob of installing the plug fitting, with an oversized hole and no sealant at all.

I did this by drying everything, then lining much of the bilge with tissue paper. Backed it in while someone was watching the bilge, Sure enough he spotted the wet paper right away, it was from a trim tab mounting screw that protruded into boat.

That sounds like the plan we've come up with.
Spoke with the dealer this morning. Once their local mechanic arrives he'll give it a close inspection. Should we not find anything obvious it's off to the boat ramp & with an observer looking into the engine bay. We have the drive & transom to look at of course. Penetrations for each trim tab, the mounting screws for the tab itself. (Not sure yet if these are visible inside the hull.) Penetrations for the swim platform also, 8-10 perhaps.
Thank You everyone for your ideas. I'll be sure to post my findings once we get it resolved.

No scuppers on deck & all other drains clear.
Clean water defined as clear without any engine contaminants such as oils or fluids.
Fuel cooler does not have a drain fitting.

Cheers,
Steve C.

Think we have the issue nailed down.
Bolts securing the swim platform are letting water in. Very difficult to find but an easy fix.
Factory sealant has dried up. Nuts & bolts pulled then reinstalled with new sealant.
Local fellow & I couldn't find it before I left for vacation.
Dealer drove 4 hrs. to retrieve the boat & take back to their facility. Had it in/out of the water a few times before they spotted it.
New sealant drying overnight & will confirm the issue is resolved in the AM. They will bring it back to me when done.
Keeping fingers crossed.

good deal that it was simple and cheap. i just bought my boat last summer and this spring i removed all the transom bolts/screws and resealed them with 3M 4200. boat has been in the water since 5/27 and the bilge is still bone dry. i was pretty nervous pulling those screws out. you know, if it ain't broke don't fix it type of thing. but all is well
