I have an idea for getting rid of the spam members on this site. (which there are alot of.) Any member who has a "WWW" listed in their registration and has NOT POSTED anything...get rid of them. If you look at them 80% are ads and 10% are X rated. It will show the amount of "true" members that are here.

Or better yet implement a strong CAPTCHA system that cannot be "read" by "spamming" systems. Adding SSL to the registration page to protect (encrypt) your form post information. This will completely eliminate the problem.

A captcha test is already implemented. SSL is not necessary. I don't know of any web forums that use SSL. The spam problem has all but been eliminated with a measure we implemented to trick the spam bots. It is similar to a captcha test but a little different. There are still some lingering registrations on the system, but they are old and pose no problems.
