Hi all,

My name is Chris. I have never properly introduced myself on here before I normally just lurk in the shadows reading everyones good advice :)

I bought a 1978 26' DA towards the end of last season and I am anxious to get it out for the year. I talked to the dock today and will hopefully be launching on the 29th.

I paid to have the winterization done last fall but I am hoping not to have to do that for the spring commisioning. I have read some of the other threads on de-winterizing but most people seem to be focusing on reconnecting the hot water heater to the rest of the fresh water system. I dont have this problem i.e. no hot water heater on board. I dont trust the 30 yro fresh water system so no one will drink out of it. I am guessing I just run the PINK out of the tank untill empty flush and refill with water.

The main thing I would like is someone to give me detailed step by steps for getting the engine and the outdrive back in business. It is a single 350/ 260 horse. The oil and filter were changed during the winterization. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am very new at this and might not understand exactely what went into winterizing in the first place so im not actually sure what to undo.So please forgive my ingnorance in advance. Thanks
