Does anyone from the Boston Cape area do a CSR get together/rendevoux outside of the dealer sponsored gatherings.....Something smaller and either at a marina or gunkholing......I am new this year to the site and didn't know if you guys did anything last year. I did not say I want to be cruise director!

Hi, Wetpaint. No gatherings last year that I'm aware of. (Of course, I just may not have been invited!) Take a look at the CSR North East Rendezvous link for the current plan.

Hey wetpaint....I would be interested in doing something in the Cape Cod area. The north east rendezvous is looking to be in CT or NY, so that might be too far of a cruise from the Boston area....but count me in if there is anything happening your way. Maybe we can just start a 36 Sedan Bridge rendezvous.....but I think we would be the only two there!

Wetpaint and Jhild,

I am new to CSR this year as well. I'd love to do a get-together with other CSRs on the south shore (of Boston) or around the Cape / islands. There is another thread about a NE Meet-up, but it looks like they are focused around the CT / RI border. For me, thats about a 4-5 hour run.

If there is anyone else from the Boston or Cape area that would like to get together...let me know and I'll try to set something up.

i am game for anything......i think those other guys were looking new york and that is too far for a weekend........you guys name the place and lets put it together.........we could do a spring one when it is not too crowded and gives us something to look forward to...

I'm in Boston Harbor and would be interested in doing something.

Scituate could be a great spot... they have moorings to rent, launch service.. and a great town to visit.. kind of mid way from the cape to boston too..

I'm on board with that. I like Scituate Harbor. It is also close to the Spit at the mouth of the North River, where the kids can play on the sand.

also important to note they have a GREAT launch ramp for those who trailer too!!

Date pending, you can count me in. I also have my cousin in Wareham (yes, a Sea Ray owner as well) that would be interested. The two of us have kids ages 5 through 12....so wherever the destination is...I would prefer something to keep the kids occupied.

We may be interested as well....Kinda tentative though on how the admiral is feeling. We have a little one on the way, due in Oct!
We trailer and are from the western part of MA.
All the places you mention sound nice and would certainly be interesting!

Scitaute sounds good to me. I keep my boat at Kingman Marina, just at the south end (West End) of the Cape Cod Canal. Scituate would be a 2 -3 hours for me......easily do-able.

B-Rock - I can even travel up there with your cousin from Wareham.

I don't know when you all put your boats in the water, but I'd be into to doing an over night (Sat) towards the end of May....maybe the 24th??

Kids have soccer in the morning, but I could get there around 3 - 4 PM. Also, as someone else mentioned, I have 2 daughters ages 8 and 10....so anyone else with kids would be a welcome distraction.

The other nice location could be Cuttyhunk.....not far from RI or Hyannis.

Thoughts??????

How about early spring down on the Cape......Another one on the Bay Side during the summer......If you don't like me, you can exclude me from the Bay side one....Destination??? Date??? Other than Memorial Day Weekend, I am good! I am divorced so I do not have a pregnant wife to worry about

I would definately be interested in Cuttyhunk. Always a good take, but there is NOTHING open in May through Mid-June. I believe the pizza restaurant opens in mid or end June, and that is about it over there. As long as you plan accordingly for food, etc, there is never a problem going early in the season, and slip would definately not be a problem.
I also heard there is a new harbormaster over there this year.

If Cuttyhunk works for B-Rock and Wet Paint.....lets plan it. The May 24th overnight is early in the season....but if we plan to bring enough food and alcohol, we'll be alright.

If May 24th works for you guys, I'll call and book it. I'm sure we won't even need reservations at that time of year, but I'll make them just in case.

Anyone else?

:huh:So can I not go now since I have a pregnant wife???? Jk
Actually trailer boaters like ourselves would probably be crampin your style

Im interested in scituate weekend new member out of charles river.

Weave - we'd love to have you join us.......... and, no way would you be crampin' our style .....trailer boat or not. Heck, we don't even have any style.......

If you can make (with pregnant wife), we'd love to have you.
