Does anyone know if there is a separate breaker for a 4.5 Westerbeke genset. This weekend I went to turn it on and nothing. There is no buzzer, light or any power going to the inside control panel. The genset has -100 hours. I flipped the breaker on the genset, but i don't know if it has a push button reset. Any help would be appreciated.

Genset issue with 2000 sundancer 340

No push button reset. The 2 switches on the genset or panel should fire it up. Make sure your battery and all connections are good. I just fired mine up today after 2 years of sitting.
Well, we found that there is a 30amp 240v fuse on the other side of the breaker switch. Changed it and it ran for 10sec and quit, then attempted to change it and it kept blowing. In looking at the forum, it is likely a oil/temp sensor, but i will now turn it over to the professionals. I'll post the developments.

I didn't know about the fuse. Sounds like you have a short somewhere. I'm looking forward to the solution if it ever happens to mine!

We have a genset now.... the mechanic found it was the oil temp sending unit and replaced and we now are making current.... Thanks everyone!!
