This was a Stowaway brand battery with an APR '04 date on it. I bought it at Sams Club and def got my moneys worth. Goes to show that sometimes the off brand stuff (which is prob made by a good company anyways) is worth buying!
The house batteries of the same brand I think lasted 5-6 years after I installed them. I had a set of Deka's after those for the house that finally went earlier this season. I put in Energizer brand from Sams and hope to get the same life!

A question: Does the genny battery receive any charging from the onboard charger or does it only replenish when the genny is running?

The energizers fromSam are Deka

Without a doubt, I have confirmed that the Duracell's at Sam's are Deka batteries. So they make the Enegizers as well?

l looked at the Enegizers at WalMart and thought they were made by Johnson Controls maybe....

Personally, I avoid any batteries made by Johnson controls. They took over OPTIMA's and they haven't been the same ever since...

I stick with any company the has the parent company of ENERSYS...My Die Hard Group 31 AGM's are going on their 7th year. Did a load test about 2 months ago, and they are still holding at about 85-90%.
