Shot in the dark. My 8.0 Quicksilver diesel generator was running fine but suddenly stopped producing power while running.
I checked all the breakers I could find on the generator, on the boat, engine compartment etc and all ok. Genny runs great just no power to boat. No issues with shore power.
Ugh and man it’s hot and muggy down here in the Deep South.

If you’ve checked the circuit breakers, that leaves some internal components like diodes or the windings. If you handy, there may be a troubleshooting guide, but probably need to get a tech in to diagnose.

Back ends can be rewound, rebuilt or replaced.

I had a similar problem in that my generator suddenly only started putting out about 80-90volts with no load. Turned out to be a bad capacitor. It was an easy fix.
Not sure if a failed capacitor would completely stop generator from producing power?

I was going to say a bad capacitor as well. On my westerbeke, the voltage suddenly went to zero. 60 dollar part and back in business.

Here’s what the Westerbeke troubleshooting guide says about low and no voltage. Couldn’t find a troubleshooting guide for yours.

You need to get a DVM and verify low or no voltage.
