New to this forum and first post. Purchased an almost new (2017) 210 SPX this season. I have an ok understanding of the mechanical functions but I'm still learning a lot. Going into the next season, I wanted to ensure my prop was to spec and maybe get some suggestions as to the best fit for my boat. I unfortunately am still waiting on the manuals for both the boat and engine/drive so if the info is in there, I apologize.
Quick rundown, model listed above. Has the Mercruiser 4.5L (200HP) w/ Alpha 1 drive.
First question, how to I find out the OEM prop spec. I know I can look at the current prop, but due to the fact it is a 1 year old used boat, there is the slight chance the prop is not OEM, or the dealer didn't use the OEM prop to begin with.
Second question, anyone with this boat and/or engine/drive combo know of the "sweet spot" for prop spec (pitch/diameter/etc).
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
