I have a void roughly size of a quarter at the base of my radar arch which exposes the fiberglass underneath. Would like to repair it and was wondering if gelcoat will adhere to the fiberglass or is there a preliminary step such as resin which should be appied first. I've attached a picture for your viewing. Thanks in advance. Please excuse the size of the pic. I'm not sure how to reduce the size

spectrum paint makes gelcoat matched to your boat. They will need your hin #. If you do a search turtletone had a tutorial on this with great pic's to show how it's done.

Thank you for the info. However, the question I'm really in need of an answer for is can gelcoat be applied to the figerglass as shown or is it necessary to have an inital step, such as a resin or similar type material. Thanks

I had the same type spot up there as well and I used a fiberglass reapir kit from autozone but now need to match the paint. I guess I will search for that spectrum paint matched by the vin #. If anyone has a link I would appreciate a url. Thanks in advance. Ricky rbb469@yahoo.com
