Wrapped my outdrive in a plastic garbage bag for winter storage,
Removed it yesterday and found some gear oil inside the bag.
What tests should I perform to find the source of the leak?
Thanks for any information.

First is a visual test. Check the area around the drain and vent plugs.
Look for an oil trail. Look behind the prop.
Raise the drive and check the rubber hose as best as you can.

Next would be a pressure test. Make up the appropriate fitting and pressurize the drive as you look for leaks. You’ll need to block off the reservoir bottle to prevent pressure from just blowing out the top.

Or just disconnect the hose at from the bottle and pressurize the drive through that hose.

Did you perform any services before wrapping up for the winter?

Might need to replace an seal washer on the fill or drain screw. Lets hope it's that easy.
