I have a 2002 sundancer with twin 4.3 L MPI center rise, with Fresh water cooling. OM345316 Exhaust has 3" risers between the manifolds and elbows.
I'm confused about which type of gaskets to use on the risers.
I took the old ones off, and it had a restricted gasket at bottom, and Full flow at top, and it worked fine. My mechanic is telling both should be full flow. Mercury Service bulletin 99-10 seems to confirm this, and some of the parts catalogs seem to confirm full flow for both.
Can anyone confirm which gaskets I should be using ???
