We have a carbon tax in Canada it has resulted in inflation. It has also resulted in helping farmers. If you farm such that you burn less fuel you get carbon credits you can sell. I am waiting for eclectic boats. At that time marinas will sell water at $15 a gallon to make up for lack of fuel sales. Some marinas in Canada have signs listing water prices. I asked and was informed it was for sail boats that would fill up water and not buy fuel.
