Garmin transducer installation for a 2000 27' sundancer

Hello,

I want to run a transducer in my 2000 27' Sundancer. I have a Garmin 74cv GPS. The access, where the wires and shift cable are located is sealed in with silicone. Does anyone have know of another access point.

Can you not just make a hole in the silicone? That's what I did to run my transducer cable from the transom, through the engine space bulkhead to a position under the helm.

Thanks. I ended up making an access hole in the storage space,where the cooler holder is, it has a straight shot to the instrument panel.
