Garmin Inland lakes maps

I bought the inland lakes chip for my handheld 76Cx. Depending on the lake it adds details. Can't remember where on Garmin's site but I found a spot where it listed all the lakes that had the better detail.

No where near the detail of the Vision chip I have for Lake Michigan.

I use the the Inland Lake and an older product US Recreational Lakes with Fishing Hot Spots. Both products give different details on the inland lakes and rivers.

We currently have a Garmin 545s Chartplotter on our 230CC we boat the Great Lakes and lots of inland lakes.

The chartplotter is preloaded for the coastal waters and navigable waters of the great lakes.

Does anyone have experience with this and is it worth it.

That is the chip I have, and yes it is worth it. Most of the inland lakes are not available in Garmins Vision level product. So unless you happen to go to the same lake all the time, and it is available in Vision, this chip is the one you need. I do not use mine that often as we are on Lake Michigan mostly, but my last trip to an inland lake the Garmin seemed to lack the detail I am used to. It was then I remembered to install the chip you are asking about and the information I needed was there. MM

Thanks for the info, I will put this on the must add list of things to get for the boat over the winter. The few inland lakes we go to I know fairly well, never chewed a prop, in my 8 years of boat ownership, but it would be a cool add on.
