Garmin's latest offering is the amazing 7612XSV 12" Multifunction Display. The 7612xsv, like its siblings including the 7607XSV, 7608XSV and 7610XSV features a built-in GPS antenna. Built in Wifi, bluetooth, and multi channel fishfinder. It is also preloaded with charts for the entire USA. Garmin has really outdone themselves with this series. The GPSMAP 7612 XSV features a brilliant and bright color display, and super easy to use interface.
The capabilities for the 7612 XSV are many. With the right add-ons this unit can do Radar with any of the Garmin GMR radar domes and arrays. It can also show real time weather with the GXM52 XM Weather/Radio antenna. The 7612XSV can also show AIS when connected to an AIS receiver. The 7612XSV fishfinder is what really sets it apart from the competition. It features a traditional sounder capable of operating at 50 and 200 kHZ. The 7612XSV also has a true dual channel CHIRP fishfinder meaning it can use a transducer with 2 full frequency bands at the same time. This unit also has Garmin's exclusive DownVu and SideVu built into it utilizing any of Garmin's DownVu and SideVu transducers to literally give a 3D picture of the bottom!
The Garmin GPSMAP 7612XSV can also connect to just about anything, from your NMEA2000 equipped Stereo to your NMEA2000 Equipped engine using NMEA2000.
