When I had the boat out of the water last year I did the first of several phases of upgrades and installed a NEMA 2000 network, a Noland monitor system, a couple of Garmin GMI 20's, an Airmar DT800 NMEA 2000 depth/temperature transducer, and an Airmar B60 sonar transducer.
The plan was this spring for the next phase add Garmin GPSMAP 7212 and a GSD24 to power the sonar. Now Garmin has the GPSMAP 7612sxv which integrates the GSD24 eliminating the need for a separate black box.
My question is will my brand new installed Airmar B60 plug into the 7612sxv and be operational or does one need to step up to CHIRP?
Also if the Airmar B60 does interface with one 7612 can it be seen on a second GPSMAP 7612?
Lastly, has anyone tried to buy the new 7612sxv? What is the lead time? They seem backordered at BOE....
Thanks - Tom
