Will that interface with the Garmin marine network? Is it touch screen?
I may be interested if it will work with my current Garmin suite (3210'sx2, GSD 20, GMR 18 HD radar, gps and Sirius XM/weather.)

The GMR 18 and Sirius Radio / Weather on Garmin's list of compatible devices. I don't think the 3210's and the 5212 will interact with each other on the network, but it's my understanding that they can share data from compatible devices on the network. The 5212 has 3 Garmin Network ports, in addition to the NMEA2000 and 0183 ports.

I also used the video cable to display TV channels on the dash and the plotter screen on the TV in the salon. The RF remote will control the unit from anywhere on the boat. The 5000 series is touchscreen. The X2XX designates that it's pre-loaded with maps. The XX12 designates the 12" screen size.
