Vent motor stopped working after being very loud. I asked this question for our 2008 330/350SD on that forum and did not get a reply. So before I start removing microwave, fridges Etc I thought I would ask everyone for a clue. The Galley and Head share the same vent motor with switches in both locations. Similar layout to our previous 2004 340SD. Head & galley are located on the port side. Also, is there a quieter replacement motor out there?
Thank you

On my older 330 it is located behind the fridge so a pain to get at. I was thinking it would be great to replace with a nice quiet 12v squirrel cage type or even a better quieter bilge fan. Those fans are real screamers. I guess there is no chance you will forget to turn it off when you leave the boat though. Probably a "feature".

On my 2006 360DA it was behind the cockpit refrigerator. The PO said he could not find it so never replaced it but my mechanic found it when he saw the large clamshell vent on the hull. I don’t know if this would be the same on your boat but I’ve got the same single vent motor with separate switches for head and galley.
