Galley faucet low water pressure

I can tell you there is a cartridge behind the shower. It is accessed from the galley cabinet above your stove. There is a small panel to remove and you will see cartridge and water lines to your shower there.

I took a look at the back of the shower body through that panel and there was nothing but the three hose connections for hot, cold and feed to the shower head.
Is there a chance that the water pump could be on its way out? When I woke up this morning, the pressure was normal again, but slowly dissipated to a dribble as I let it run.

I clean these at my house regularly using a dental pick to pop them off and then rinse them out.

The shower head holes are clear.

I just hooked the dock hose to the water inlet and shut the fresh water pump off to find that the not only does the shower but all faucets have proper water pressure. Would it be safe to assume it’s the water pump?

Has anyone changed their pump? Should it be the same size, or should I go bigger?

Water Pumps are fairly simple to replace. Always good to have aback up on the boat anyway.

If you had good water pressure with the existing pump when it was good, I would be very careful of going with higher GPM. I did that once...you are inviting leaks if you do....I replaced like for like on ours last summer and all is great...

I did have an issue with the dock water one time. Great pump pressure/flow, but dock water got poor. Removed the hose and the screen in the regulator was 1/2 stopped up.....moved the filter to the transom locker and never another issue...

Just my $0.02...

I ran the water on my tank too low and the galley sink and forward shower head had little, or no water pressure.
I cleaned out the galley faucet screens and the entry port to the pull out nozzle and it now works fine, but I can’t figure out the low pressure issue in the shower. I removed the handheld head and there is no pressure from the hose. Is there a filter, or cartridge in the shower body that can clog?
Before you go and replace your fresh water pump...are you aware that by running your fresh water tank too low you probably air locked the pump and lost the prime? That absolutely accounts for little to no pressure after you did that. It also accounts for why turning off the pump and going with direct hose supply "municipal water" you suddenly have full pressure.

An air lock was ruled out once the tank was refilled, the clogged screen on the galley faucet cleaned and all other fixtures found working with the exception the low shower pressure, which is at the end of the line. It turned out to be a clogged filter in the engine room. The dock connection afforded more pressure that overcame the filter restriction and once I cleaned the filter, the shower pressure returned. I cleaned that filter out a week or two ago, but clogged it again by running the tank low.
It appears that the water pressure would pass through the clogged filter and slowly build up. Once the shower was turned on, it could not be supplied with an ample amount of water to maintain pressure and eventually slow to a dribble.
