Is the counter top in late model Sundancers gelcoat or something like corain? I'm shopping and I've seen a few with what looks like stress cracks or deep scratches in the gallery counters. Fiberglass probably coud be repaired but what about corian?

Just to confirm what Karl mentioned, the counter is fiberglass and the sink cover is corian. I asked the question about whether the counter could repaired if damaged when I took delivery of my 260DA. The answer was yes.

can be repaired by experienced fiberglass repairman
you should find first why it cracked: galley became loose? counter got separated from base and shifted? etc
Correct that problem before repairing top itself

further: real corian is repairable.

larger SR yachts used to use real corian, but I think even they have shifted to fiberglass now. They even have counters that look like grantite, but those are also glass.

These cracks were in 340 and the counters look just like my 300. I'm guessing gelcoat on fiberglass. As to cause, there was no other obvious damage, nothing was loose.
