The area below the cabin floor is apparently sealed and not accessible. Is there any scenario where there could be water in that area, bilge water that cannot be evacuated? Did a 20 minute rough water ride yesterday, took plenty of spray and the cabin floor carpet was soaked, cannot figure where that water came from unless somehow from the anchor locker? Any input will be appreciated!

Sounds like its time to reseal the windshield and possibly the upper deck to the hull under the rubrail.Dont ask me how i know. Its not that hard of a job but a neccessary evil on these older boats.

Good info! I do think I found the problem, the forward hatch handles were not dogged down, were in the open position. V bunks cushions were wet too so I suspect that the water came in thru the loose hatch, rolled off of those and straight down to the floor. Still, I will plan to recaulk the underside of the rubrails in the Spring. How do you suggest resealing the windshield?

Thanks!
