Anyone with a 1988 340 Sundancer have a schematic showing the labels for the fuse panel and the amperage of each fuse? SeaRay says it's in the owners manual but alas it is not. I'm not convinced the PO replaced the fuses correctly. Thanks in advance.

I don't, but... are you sure you looked through the whole manual? The 340DA doesn't appear to be available online (at least not for your year), but I looked at an 340 EC manual and it is in there. The systems will be the same for both models so you could always use the EC info.

I had SeaRay email me the Original 1988 owners manual; however, I can't find any fuse information in it. They have a list of 12 Volt Breakers, but not the glass fuses that are in the panel on the starboard side of the helm. Maybe I'm just missing it. Thanks for your input.

What do those fuses control that aren't controlled by the circuit breakers at the dash? I'm only going off whta I see in the 340EC manual, but unless I'm missing something, they seem to cover everything. Possibly this glass fuse panel is something a PO added? If the fuse panel WAS stock from SR, they're usually pretty good about labelling it.

Can you post a pic of it?

In general circuit breakers protect wires from overheating and catching fire. They are slow to respond, and will carry the 100% rated loaded indefinitely. They will carry 110% for many minutes before tripping.

Fuses are typically fast acting and used to protect the device, so the whole fuse block is likely feed off a single breaker ("accessories" or "electronics"). Each fuse is likely for a single radio, GPS, deepth, etc.

Turn everything on the helm on and remove one at a time.

I believe I found the issue. Looks like I’m going to be cleaning up some wiring.
