Funny Shit

It looked like there was a line hanging off the stbd side of the boat the photographer was on. I wonder if the 'toon got it in his props.

Dude, he was towing a tube with kids on it and the pontoon asshole went between them.

For the record Stray, we’re on a small lake. No tri-toons on here. Biggest motor on the lake is my neighbor friends 115 on their new Harris. My guess is he can get up to a whopping 20mph - but why?
We had ours out all Summer, and I bet I barely went through 5 gallons of gas. The Sea Ray, that’s a different story. With the exception of a few small aluminum fishing boats, kayaks and paddle boats, we use the pontoons to meet in the middle of the lake for rafting off during the Summer.

Not trying to sell you on it, it is what it is on our lake. One would look pretty silly in a runabout here. By the time he got up on plane, he’d have to shut it down a minute later to turn around - or look ridiculous driving in circles in the middle of the lake.

I base my judgment of all pontoon boat owners on their performance while using a pontoon boat in saltwater. I would never own one, but lake boaters get a pass. They certainly make a lot more sense in that application!

Anybody who would go and buy a $400,000 pontoon with twin 400 hp outboards definitely has questionable decision making abilities in my book. There are so many better things you could buy at that price point.

Agreed - I don't get the 75mph tri-toon. I see them every once in awhile on Lake Superior, another place they don't belong. They're one good wave from getting the deck ripped off.

Ironically, I chalk one $400K, 75mph tri-toon in the Funny Shit thread, where it belongs.

The amount of pleasure I get watching one of them stuff the bow and pitch pole is way more than I should ever admit. It’s a regular occurrence around these parts and I love it.

At that 12-15 knot speed range, I throw just the absolute most perfect roller for it. It’s always funny shit when you see one going to overtake.
